Paper Boat Craft

To end off today’s lesson and to remember this beautiful story of Jesus calming the storm and the storm of our lives, we will make a Paper Boat craft!

This is called the Boat Of Peace and we will be making it by folding a Paper Boat Origami.
Firstly, you will need a piece of rectangle paper. It can be white or coloured, up to how you want your boat to look.
You will also need some markers or colour pencils to design your paper. Then get a small piece of paper, draw Jesus on it, them use a scissors to cut it out if you can (for younger children, you may skip this part or ask an adult to help you draw). Then finally, you need glue.

So onto the steps, firstly, you will need to design your paper for the design of your boat. You can draw things like stripes, polka dots, wavy lines, rainbows, it’s really up to what you like. Once done, we are going to start folding your paper boat. Now again, for younger children, get a grown up to help you with the folding part okay? So let’s start:

Okay! Our paper boat is done up, yay! Now, all you need to do is to take that Jesus cutout you have earlier, apply glue to the back of it and stick it in our boat, to remind yourself that Jesus is saying “Be Still!” to your heart now and He wants to give you peace.
