Preparing & Sanctifying Ourselves for the Lord's Work
- loving God & man
- evangelism

- 3 type of people when it comes to do the Lord's work:
1) helpless & accused -> willingness
2) willing -> obstacles -> give up
3) do -> feel righteous  about it (I CAN!)

- Paul: regard gospel as the ultimate, pray deeply in his spirit
- God is sovereign in his work, nothing of self
- it is god's work, so he is definitely more zealous than us and he will definitely fulfil it, in his timetable.
- God is the faultless director of our lives.

How to Prepare ourselves?

1. Prepare focus mind (connect every of our conditions to the kingdom)
2. Sanctify -> through encounters, life experiences, trials

Grace -> CHURCH (Word, Prayer, Living) -> less of old self (me), more of new self (Christ) through the Holy Spirit

1. Mindset / Attitude of a minister of God
1) holistically understand grace
- grace -> faith to deal with challenges -> mould into vessels
2) spirit of sonship
3) join in his glory & suffering for gospel <2Tim 1:8>
- soldier: one hearted in seeking HS guidance (one purpose for the gospel)
- athlete: rules of the game to be abide to (spiritual rules)
- farmer: hardworking, waiting for his growing crops in a timetable

2. Pray & depart from the low & ignore self
1) Ignoble: cannot transcend the temporal & strength of the world [we all started out here]
2) Noble: see the world as temporal, God is constantly sovereign, thus they anchor their hope on sovereign God
- a route of sanctification has been prepared for us
Cleansing from ignoble > noble:
a) Gospel (word)
b) Prayers
c) a Trials & sufferings

3. Find strength to do the right thing -> evidences of someone on the process of sanctification:
1) flee, resist from temptations
2) start to pursue righteousness, holiness, love, faith & peace. (Through the transformational power of Holy Spirit)
3) gently teach & instruct (love)
