Lie weakens, truths strengthens

Does the truth of God (blessings you receive) create in you the longing to have this blessings overflown to others?

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” (Genesis 1:27-28 NIV)

If you have yield your sovereignty to the truth, you will rule over all things. But if you yield to the lies, you will be subdued by it. Anything that draws you away from this verse is lies

When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

He answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.” (Genesis 3:6-7, 10 NIV)

When you let lies occupy you, you say things which are untruths, from how you feel, which may not be true!

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (John 10:10 NIV)
This is the truth

You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry,

Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need. Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. (Ephesians 4:22-26, 28-32 NIV)
We thought this is worse, but this is the product of lies occupying you

We need the right knowledge, the truth, to develop the right spirit against the lies
How can you love God when you do not know God..
Do we have this unconscious persistency to give in to lies?
The truth will generate the right need, and lead us the submission.

Satan - father of lies (Jn 8:44)
  1. Incorrect knowledge of God, me and all things
    • Like how he deceived eve (look, god isn't that great because he doesn't want you to discern -> god doesn't want to give you the best)
    • If we do not have the right knowledge of God, we cannot be born again (enter the kingdom of God)
    • Do you believe in the right God? Do you know creator rightly? You will never be able to know yourself correctly, there's always insatiable needs... But this is not what God create you to be gen 1:27
    • Is your aim in life studying hard working hard? Where you put your worth?
  2. With incorrect knowledge, it develops incorrect thoughts, senses and will
    • It controls where you go, what u decide on etc
  3. Steal, kill and destroy
    • Take away what is supposedly yours bit by bit, with the lies -> until you lose the senses of God
Author of truths - JC
He proclaims that
  1. He is the truth, He abides to the truth
    • Incarnation, lived in the reality of flesh (temptations and flesh) and bears all these things without sin and go up to the cross. Those who see him HS will work in them to turn them to God
    • So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit. The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual. The first man was of the dust of the earth; the second man is of heaven. As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven. And just as we have borne the image of the earthly man, so shall we bear the image of the heavenly man. (1 Corinthians 15:45-49 NIV)
  2. Put on new self
    • Your initiative
    • A real battle - need to pray!!!
    1. Respond to the truth of God (new self needs the word, and can only Sight satan with the truth. Each time you listen to the truth, you respond to the truth and it strengthens) --> the truth will strengthen you! not your will
    2. Doesnt grieve the Holy Spirit - knows and can discern the lies (falsehood etc) and will not be led into it. Be aware of the lies that is coming to you and not letting loose
    3. Resist the devil through submitting to God (jas 4:7). Every submission will lead you to the next submission. Jesus defeated satan not just with truth in him but living in submission in real life.
    4. Restore the blessings that is originally yours
      • Gen 1:27-28 god and you in union, everything your enjoy not be ruled by them. Enjoy and multiply (bring gospel across)
My prayers for you
  1. Humility - when the word of god is spoken, do you crave and long for it? Not just wanting quick fix, want to get the truth. Without humility, you fall prey to satan. Humble yourself in The Lord and He will lift you up. The first person who falls is the one who thinks he knows and can.
  2. Love for one another - love is the only gift that can control all other gifts. It leads you to prophesize to edify, to pray correctly (with patience and endurance); you don't despise the people who is different than you
  3. Perseverance - don't lose hope in journey of God. Satan always lure you with good and desirable things when you follow lies. That is bigger lie. Live righteously, and live consistently
