- God is a living God, many times we fail to activate Him, but he is always with us.

- we must practice religiously how to meet God everyday, because that is the most important thing.

- do it in secret = do it by facing God alone

- honored by men vs exalt God

- why we can't exalt God? 

@ our desires, feelings, ideologies etc (closed up mindset: care about self)

@ ungrounded & unrealistic experience

@ laws

- people loved by God will naturally exalt God in their lives (*confirm that God loves me indeed) 

- people loved by God will see God as more real than any other circumstances

1) listen - today, God has many things to tell us

- treat all things as learning materials

- hear --> respond

2) how to listen & pray? <Matt 6: 9-14>

- father in heaven: go to him as a child (sonship)

- god's will & promise --> shape our prayers

- daily bread --> basic needs, cleanse our sins daily (humanity)

- eager for god's answer

3) prayer --> stumbling block

- pray with no knowledge of God (living, sovereign, Immanuel)

- problem-centered --> see wrongly --> substandard blessings

- self-centered --> big ME ("threshold") --> selective in hearing God

- praying without examining

How we know our prayers are effective?

We love to pray and start praying more in the most routine things. 

In a state cannot don't pray.

1) spiritual treasure

- living purpose (to seek & build god's kingdom, benefit his people)

- your spirit is where the heaven is (guard our hearts & minds)

- soul of men --> born again & sanctification

- reject Satan's attacks (lies)

- carry my own cross

2) earthly treasure
