Treasure the grace of God in your life, and don't lose the sense of HS guidance in your life. 

Follow God's guidance is not waiting for sth to happen. But how do you get the sense of HS working without you really ministering to people, understanding them?  Without using the truth you know to follow God in the opposite current? Only then, the sense of HS guidance becomes clearer and surer, no longer conceptual 

Not just doctrinal truths but subjectivity of truth (you have a personalised encounter and conversation with God in this truths, be led into truths)

When they arrived, he said to them: “You know how I lived the whole time I was with you, from the first day I came into the province of Asia. I served the Lord with great humility and with tears and in the midst of severe testing by the plots of my Jewish opponents. You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house. I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus. “And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there. I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardships are facing me. However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. (‭Acts‬ ‭20‬:‭18-24‬ NIV)

The dispute became so violent that the commander was afraid Paul would be torn to pieces by them. He ordered the troops to go down and take him away from them by force and bring him into the barracks. The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said, “Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.” (‭Acts‬ ‭23‬:‭10-11‬ NIV)

When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days and the storm continued raging, we finally gave up all hope of being saved. After they had gone a long time without food, Paul stood up before them and said: “Men, you should have taken my advice not to sail from Crete; then you would have spared yourselves this damage and loss. But now I urge you to keep up your courage, because not one of you will be lost; only the ship will be destroyed. Last night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve stood beside me and said, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul. You must stand trial before Caesar; and God has graciously given you the lives of all who sail with you.’ So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as he told me. Nevertheless, we must run aground on some island.” (‭Acts‬ ‭27‬:‭20-26‬ NIV)

1. God reveals things through His spirit 
   1. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. (‭2 Timothy‬ ‭1‬:‭7‬ NIV)
   • • Paul was always serving with humility and tears (love for soul) yet he was determined to bring the gospel to the places God asked him to (do you possess the heart like this? god speaks to such spirit
   1. Compelled by the spirit 
      • Do you have compelling convictions in your life.(despite routines). Nothing to live for? 
      • Following god, forwarding the kingdom, experience the HS guidance?
      • What are you living for? Compelling convictions in your routine, regular routines?
   2. Persecutions  and hardships await him 
      • Do you deliberately avoid telling this to people?
      • HS didn't avoid telling Paul because He wants to direct Paul's heart to total reliance on the grace of God (god is drawing you to this reliance of Him when He reveals to you of sth coming ahead of you that can be uncomfortable)
      • But strangely when we yield to him, we find strength 
        • However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. 
      • Drive you to pray, find connections with the gospel -- a lot of seeking and testing 

How to hear from the HS realistically (know-how)

1. When we've obeyed the calling of gospel (You'll be my witness - the unchanged truth)-> that's when we hear the HS clearly 
   • Until it becomes our nature 
2. Reality of problem/ challenge --> that's why you can only trust solely in the promise of god, and his guidance 
3. Have the increasing pulse to finish the gospel race 
   • Sense and know the day is approaching 
   • Annointing go forward, ministry go forward. Less of self, more of God.
4. Move on in the will of God 

1. Receive the heart of Apostles - humility, tears , resolution to finish the race in increasing pulse 
2. Let your trials drive you to finish the race of the gospel 
3. Internet ministry. - be enslaved or evangelise through it
