Man of great faith - they look at God's concerns, and put their emotions there
Faith can be seen (via a persons thinking, feeling and decisions)
Do you, remnant, feel, think and decide for the kingdom of God? (Your work, the venture you are going into... Always take every opportunity to see from the truth of god, so that you can make good judgment about things)
We are such liars at times.
We like to make all things absolutely real to us, and want to justify our perspective, feeling, testaments without verifying it through the truth of God.
Now that you know the word, resolve to start from the right platform -- rest your decisions, thoughts, and feelings upon here
If you have contradictions (what you feel don't match what god says of you) --> don't rest on it.... Go on seeking why God says you to be so! You will realize you are wonderfully, uniquely created by you
Doctrine becomes your disposition
What if some were unfaithful? Will their unfaithfulness nullify God’s faithfulness? Not at all! Let God be true, and every human being a liar. As it is written: “So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge.” (Romans 3:3-4 NIV)
- A lot of times we want to justify for our disbelief, unfaithfulness
- Sometimes god didn't prove you right immediately, but he does that over time, so that he can gain glory not only transiently but persistently
“Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar. (Proverbs 30:5-6 NIV)
But sometimes we just cannot... Cannot resonate with what God wants us to be ( to love Him and others)
If God is true, all men are liars
If God is true, before all arguments and philosophy comes in --> face God first
- Humility (yield to Him first: not mere lip service, but God's will & truth is put on the weighing scale vs free will / emotions / knowledge)
- Sometimes we don't know why certain trials happened to us, but you acknowledge His absolute, perfect will to you.. He will make it known to you in His time and sovereign will.
- Go on doing, believe that He is convicting you to do it
- Hence, keep seeking God (because you know that He is the only standard of truth and goodness, and from there, you asked for more grace and love..)
- Not faulting God (for the disasters happened to you) -- but let god be true and every man a liar
- Testing
- Honestly ask God -- why and what
- Illegitimate testing: those who stubbornly go vs god for own intent, only care about own goodness (Israelites in the wilderness).. Don't care about what God says
- Legitimate testing: Wants to follow God With a genuinely believing heart
- God wants u to test him to know him, and be convinced by him
- Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. (Malachi 3:10 NIV)
- How to test
-
- Recognise the difference in your ideals/ emotions vs God's truth
- Don't be blinded to the conflicting nature in you. Recognise, and bring it to God (don't drown it away, and ignore it)
- Seek reconciliation through what the truth says
- If you always set motives to love, you won't fear (of being hurt)
- As you seek this way, your emotions will be directed to the truth
- Follow the will of God (absolute) and let God proves Himself to be true
- He is sovereign ( he has his right not to let us know certain things) -- but over time he proves himself to be few
-
- Over time, be convinced by the truth of god (if you approach God through His will)
What would "being convicted by God's trueness brings us" ?
- It sets us free (Ro 8:32)
- It gives us willingness and desire to love (love is a natural thing, actually what tortures us is our unwillingness to understand, love | are you being led to God to want to know the person all over again, again and again)
-
- Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. (1 John 3:18 NIV)
- Until you get into a natural mode
- It will become "There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. (1 John 4:18 NIV) -- as you progress to love in truthfulness, there will be less fear (of being judged, accusation, hurt etc)
- It is refuge to you
-
- If you find refuge in Him, we find wisdom and comfort frm Him, we don't have to win others or prove or defend ourselves --> all our r/s will be just in the right direction
- It wastes no time in you
