See right, invest right  <Mt 6:19-24>

    1. See right: right spiritual perspective (v22-23)
        1. Human problems -Gen 3 - Satan's disbelief, sin, separation from God
        2. How to restore right perspective
          1. God's word (truth)- unchanging irresistible promise <head>
          2. HS conviction (when we face conflicting instruction from world vs word --> HS guards you from falling into the wrong perspective, restores you the faith again as you read  <heart>
          3. Discover how God works practically <seek, test and confirm --> then submit --> than you see more of God --> strength>
    2. Invest correctly in real treasures
      1. Mistaken views on $
        • $ earned by me -> used by me (but God is the ultimate source of finance)
        • $ is security and happiness, instead of God. Thus acquiring and accumulating wealth -> becoming stingy or over-thrifty (if God is on your side, He will surely provide whatever you need)
      2. Right r/s with $
        • Man = master over $
          • Actually God is most concerned about man's spirit. But material gains distract and steal our hearts away from God. So Christ teaches a lot about money. God wants us to be above $
        • Financial principles
          • Tithes (acknowledge everything comes from Him)
          • Contended - we need to battle to achieve this, because the temptation to want more is so strong
            • Godliness with contentment is great gain.
            • It's not the wealthiest person that is happiest, but the most contended person
            • Pr 30:8
            • Spiritual strength (angels, HS work as you pray)> secured than financial strength
          • Use God's $ wisely - edify those he loves, and builds kingdom (a good steward of God's $)
            • Use temporal $ in exchange for eternal benefits and rewards
            • Don't store up treasures on earth --> be generous for the right cause
            • Fear God - I am just a steward
      3. In the end, it's is the heart that matters most - the heart of disciple
        • The sermon on thr mount is to point us to our hearts - anything that distracts you from entering true discipleship - God wants to expose and breaks you (one hearted, single eye)
        • When you heart is right with god, $ is a distraction that hinders you from coming to God, doing the will of god
        • Where your treasure is, your heart is -- that's why is so important to guard your heart
