“Then He spoke a parable to them: “No one puts a piece from a new garment on an old one; otherwise the new makes a tear, and also the piece that was taken out of the new does not match the old. And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved. And no one, having drunk old wine, immediately desires new; for he says, ‘The old is better.’ ””

Remain in problems because we hold onto the old wineskins

1) Forget "former things" - past glory, failures. Sometimes, harping on the past will hinder our next advancement 

2) We stuck in our old mindset/ belief/ coping mechanism --> if these are apart from Christ, they are programmed for failures, time and again. --> NO WAY you can see God's "new" --> and fail to receive new voice/ inspiration from God --> that's why we do not follow ==> thus we do not receive new strength (Same thing recurring to you)

- do you trust in your analysis/ assumptions more than God's plan?

- do we only believe in what we feel, see. --> but we fail to see the whole picture from the grand plan of God

Even in the midst of our accusations/ locked mindset/ wilful self gratification --> God is still doing new thing

• Mercies and grace are new every morning - so there is no reason to keep harping on the past losses- His grace comes timely and faithfully '
• New heart - more resilient to Satan's attack / upsetting circumstances, make us less vulnerable to the temptations of the world but more yearning to God; to this heart, God will keep putting new convictions, inspirations, voice 
• New opportunities / contacts/ doors 
• New tests/ challenges - when tested, view it with a blessed attitude --> the test is to groom us to be a better witness for Him; it also serves to affirm in us that we want to follow God/ want to wrestle with our flesh, we get to understand ourselves correctly

1. Develop a blessed "new normal"
   • Way of the Holy Spirit (not our own desires/ plans) - New Normal 
     • Acknowledge everything physical has hidden spiritual factors (The way people speak, and do things) --> so not being reactive, but slow down and discern
     • We used to let emotions define truth -> but instead, new normal is truth shapes emotions
     • Pursue comfort --> proactively seek out challenges to stretch our spirituality 
2. Challenges in new ways
   • Are our spirit changed after we hear the voice of God? (Not just attending meetings)
   • Pray -> until we encounter God
   • Not just reading bible >> understand the heartbeat of God from His word?
   • X coming to church meetings >>> committed to meeting (before, during, after - what happen after)
   • Do we just want to get Comfort --> power/ authority to do the right
   • Accusations --> not merely getting rid of them, it's not about not sinning, are we loving God and following God, are we more CHrist-like?
3. Seek God's "deeper new" - we need to give 2nd chances to God to prove He is indeed a good God. 

We can be doing the right thing, but we may not do it happily too. We need to challenge ourselves.

Begin doing, not just knowing. Take practical steps through praying and help of HS, NOT just airy fairy talking

Why not seek help of HS to find reasons of thanksgiving, despite certain things don't go our way.
