“Then a blind and dumb man under the power of a demon was brought to Jesus, and He cured him, so that the blind and dumb man both spoke and saw. And all the [crowds of] people were stunned with bewildered wonder and said, This cannot be the Son of David, can it? But the Pharisees, hearing it, said, This Man drives out demons only by and with the help of Beelzebub, the prince of demons. And knowing their thoughts, He said to them, Any kingdom that is divided against itself is being brought to desolation and laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will last or continue to stand. And if Satan drives out Satan, he has become divided against himself and disunified; how then will his kingdom last or continue to stand? And if I drive out the demons by [help of] Beelzebub, by whose [help] do your sons drive them out? For this reason they shall be your judges. But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out the demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you [before you expected it]. Or how can a person go into a strong man's house and carry off his goods (the entire equipment of his house) without first binding the strong man? Then indeed he may plunder his house. He who is not with Me [definitely on My side] is against Me, and he who does not [definitely] gather with Me and for My side scatters.”

1. Drive out influences of Satan

1. Recognise the strongman (devil, invisible) in my life?
   • Devil always submerge under "normal" stuff
     • Broader level - Eg: religion, ideologies, self-reliance (atheism, humanism), econ/political position, pop culture 
     • Specific - me? (What is it that is in you that steal away our love for God... Eg love partner/ success
2. Tug-of-war between God vs Devil 
   • The devil is extra strong when he feels that he is being robbed (God is snatching his sheep)
   • But God is stronger. 
   • How to defeat him?
3. By the spirit of God -
   • •  born again (without being born again, we will be repeatedly subject to disbelief, lies) -->new life - new perspective, new coping mechanism, new source of power, new interest, new pursuits..
     • Start to fight with assurance [proclaim first! With the help of God, we can surely take down the strong man!]
     • Real battle is inside (in the spirit) - not how strong/clever we are 
     • Hold onto the promise of God - HS works by the truth
     • 2-3 Christian gather >> FOD weakens 
4. When should we drive out?
   • Everyday - HS is with us 24/7, 1 Pt 5:8 for the devil is a roaring lion 
   • Not an one off temporary victory,  but continuously walking with God in obedience
