Holding On To Faith And A Good Conscience
Before we know God, we set our own standards, we are contented to only live before man, living with defiled conscience. Living with a good conscience doesn't just come from knowing the truths, but hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit. As we made judgements throughout our day, we should test our hearts if we are inclined to god's love, do His will.

Now, Choose Life Over Death
Truly, there are two ways put before us when the Gospel is presented to us. There is simply no sitting on the fence. When the Gospel truth comes to us, our heart will virtually choose something, for the better or for worse. Either we yield our sovereignty to God (from the Gospel we have heard), or we continue to hold on to our own sovereignty. Or either we subconsciously yield our will to obey His revealed will or we turn away from it. Even if we remain indifferent, that is already a choice. So the Gospel is of life and death, blessings and curses. So choose life over death each time you hear His life-giving word.
