The Big Idea
I know God loves me because He left me love letters in the Bible!

 

Key Bible Verse

“For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son. God gave His Son so that whoever believes in Him may not be lost, but have eternal life.” – John 3:16
(It would be good for parents to go through the bible verse with the kids before watching the Video Lesson, and have a little notebook or journal where children can copy down the verse/draw something related to it).

Jesus Stick Craft

All we need is glue, black marker, 2 ice cream sticks, a brown triangle paper, some short strips of yellow paper and a white paper circle cutout.

So here is how we make it:

Use your glue, stick the bottom edge of the 2 ice cream stick together, then stick the brown triangle in between like that.

Next, stick on your yellow strips of paper behind the brown triangle like hay in a manger.

Finally, draw on the face of Jesus on the white paper circle and stick it behind the brown triangle with the head popping out a little. Now it is all done!

You can write in the short phrase “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son” on the brown part of the paper. As this is our verse of the week!
