Be Conscious Of Your Inner Self

Are our inner selves getting renewed day by day? Being conscious of our inner selves mean fixing our eyes not on what is seen, such as the momentary tasks and troubles of our lives, but on what is unseen - the deep love for God and the flourishing of our souls. To feed our inner selves, we should look past our feelings and sentiments and instead take guidance from the Spirit. We will know that our inner selves have grown if we see a change in our attitudes when we face the challenges of life. (2 Cor 4:16-18) Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

LOVE Sandwich Making

What are the things we need? Firstly, you will need to get a plate, a blunt knife, 2 slices of bread, a food scissors, a kneading pin or anything to flatten your bread, and some of your favourite jam (it can chocolate spread, strawberry jam. And you can even add on if you have some chocolate or rainbow sprinkles!)

So before this sandwich making, please make sure you have washed your hands properly with soap, because we are handling food. So are you washed up? If yes, let’s start!
Firstly, place 1 slice of bread on your plate. Then spread your favourite jam over it with your blunt knife. Get a grown up to help you if you are not sure. Once done, you can leave it or add some rainbow or chocolate sprinkles if you have them.

Then get the other slice of your bread, and flatten it by laying it down and rolling over it with your kneading pin. Once flatten, fold your bread in half lightly and using your food scissors, you are going to cut out half a heart shape! So when you open it up, voila! You have a heart shape cutout in the middle!

Now all you have to do is to place this slice over the slice of bread with the jam! Tadah! All done!

Children, Jesus’ love is just as sweet and colourful as our sandwiches today so let us all take in Jesus’ love into our lives and once we enjoy it, we can make more of these sandwiches of His love and share with those around us okay?
Go ahead and enjoy your Love sandwich!
