Most importantly, this different spirit propels you to pray until you start enjoy your daily walk with God despite the weaknesses and spiritual giants in life. Introduction

Two erroneous teachings about salvation:

  • Giving false assumption about salvation
  • Justify salvation by one’s merits

Verse to Read: <1 Thessalonians 1:2-3>

Evidences of inner attributes:

  1. Faith ⟹ Works
  2. Love ⟹ Labor
  3. Hope ⟹ Endurance

Verses to Read: <1 Thessalonians 1:4-10>

Your assurance that you are loved and chosen in Christ stems from:

  • The gospel came to you with power
  • You became imitators of us and of the Lord
  • You became a model to all the believers
  • You turn to God from idols and wait for His coming Son

And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
<Romans 8:30>

Reflection

1. Have you been taught the right doctrine of election before in the past? If yes, how were you taught about it?

2. Do you have the evidence of one that is being loved and chosen in Christ?
