CloseIt is important to know that Jesus has interceded for us. His intercession aims to accomplish two things: (1) To prevent us from losing our faith. The evil one wants to devour our faith, but Jesus' intercession prevented the devil from doing that. (2) To bring us to the reality of our faith, so that we can receive spiritual blessings to the fullest. We cannot receive spiritual blessings when we have a false sense of our faith, being in a self-deceived and complacent state. Thus, Jesus has to bring us down to ground zero, so as to reduce us to true brokenness, humility and godly sorrow. Only then will we trust in His promise, instead of other coping mechanisms. When we put our trust in Him, we can receive His spiritual blessings to the fullest.
