CloseEven though feelings are neutral and they are an instrument given by God, the evil one can use feelings to: 1) tempt us, 2) misdirect us, and 3) eventually master us. It is one thing to have a feeling, but it is another thing to give in to that feeling. When we have a tempting or wrong feeling, we need not respond in sync with that feeling; in fact, that tempting feeling can be a signal for us to pray deeper. Our feelings often use half-truths to misdirect us, and the worst state is when feelings fully take control of us. Thus, we need to interpret feelings rightly and use it for the glory of God.
