Knowing You Are Loved And Chosen In Christ

All English Service

Do you have the assurance of being saved in Christ despite falling into weaknesses again and again? How do you know that you are loved and chosen by God? Simple it may seem, yet the message this week is fundamental to all believers to confirm if they are truly saved in Christ, and to understand the persevering salvation God has given to His children through His supreme grace. For we know, brothers and sisters loved by God, that he has chosen you, because our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake. You became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you welcomed the message in the midst of severe suffering with the joy given by the Holy Spirit. (1 Thessalonians 1:4-6 NIV)

Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind. For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.

<Ecclesiastes 12:13-14>.

God’s Commandments and Judgment

* Commandments – What we are created for?

* Judgment – What we are ultimately destined for?

② Commandment of Obedience <Gen 2:16-17>

The Fall

* Continue to reign, yet in disobedience

* Mankind will destroy each other eventually

Restoration of “true meaning” through Christ

1) Dignity and worth as God’s image bearer – Do His will

2) Eternity

3) Morality

4) Call to excellence
