Easter Sunday 2024: The King of Another Kingdom

<Jn 18:36-38>: 36 Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.” 37 “You are a king, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.” 38 “What is truth?” retorted Pilate.

<Luke 19:10>: “…the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost”

<Jn 19:11>: “You will not have no power over me if it were not given you from above. Therefore, the one who handed me to you is guilty of a greater sin”.

<Mt 7:29>: … he taught as one who had authority…

<Mt 20:25-28>: 25 Jesus called them together and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. 26 Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, 27 and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.

<Mt 22:21> So give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”

<Jn 18:37> … the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.

What is truth?

• Jesus said: I am the way, the truth and the life, no one goes to the father but through me <Jn 14:6>.

<Jn 3:16> For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

<Rev 1:7> … Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him…
