The Path Of Happiness

All English Service

Many people desire to be happy, yet they often find themselves having all but still unhappy. The very first chapter of Psalm has already given us the key to happiness. Blessed are you who avoid the slippery path of the wicked through relying on the Holy Spirit inside you, always delighting and meditating on God's laws for you know it's His protection to you against the Evil one. Yet the key to knowing and to be able to live in the reality of the path of happiness depends on our prayers with God. Prayers are simple yet fundamentally important to translate what we know about the truth to heartfelt conviction; it is easily done yet often overlooked as we withdraw ourselves from meditating on His word when we've fallen short of His holiness. We can be weak, but in your weaknesses, you can still meditate and delight in the Lord - that's truly a blessed (and happy) person, for he surely sees the intercession of Jesus in every turn!

The GOD who sees ME

Often, what makes it tough for us is not so much the actual problems we face, but because we cannot see God in the midst of our problems. Moreover, when we see wrongly – when our eyes are fixed more on other things than God, that is the beginning of our problems. But thank God that though we often cannot see Him, He sees us and comes to look for each of us personally. Because He knows us by name and cares for each of us uniquely, once a person meets God, he will find transcending strength to face various life situations. Blessed is the one who sees the God who sees him today!

 Verses to read: <Genesis 16:1-16>

1. The problem of human impatience and schemes.

1) SEEING WRONGLY is the beginning of the mess

2) IMPATIENCE and LACK OF FAITH >>> sowed problem

3) Our faithless devices lead to adverse results too??

2. “The GOD who sees ME”.

1) Unexpected grace.

2) He sees ME personally.

  • Power in personal attention.
  • He sees, He hears, He cares, He acts.

3) Find strength after meeting God.

  • Hagar went back to still be a servant to her harsh mistress.
  • The promise and nearness of God strengthen us.
  • After receiving undeserved grace, be humble and not let pride trip us.
  • Obedience is the best worship of God.

4) God sees us in order to lead us to see Him too.

  • Hagar said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.” <v13>
  • God also asks us, Where have you come from, and where are you going?” <v8>
  • Stop. See God. Get on right direction.
